Wednesday Update

8 Jul 2009

Hey 'member last Friday when we said that all that new music you were asking about was coming in ? well the bulk of it is here and ready to roll ! with lots of really deluxe 'n' spesh vinyl, along with a smattering of compactual disks and the odd old fashioned cassette tape for your 80's walkman. Starting with the 7"s we got in a few copies of a Dwarves split ep on Zodiac Killer Recs which comes with two lil' baggies of fake crack cocaine ! Plus we gots the latest in the Young Widows split series, this time with one of our faves Pelican, but don't snooze on that one as we can just count 'em on two hands if ya know what i mean...to complete a trilogy of splits we have both Blue Cheer (getting all Eddie Cochran on us) & the MC5 (A '68 version of 'Looking at you') going at it which is pretty neat. Full Length LP's from Dinosaur Jr (going fast),Future of the Left, Tortoise, Ya Ho Wa 13 a LP/10" of the latest Wino alb, an incredible 180g deluxe LP set from Miles Davis ('Milesin'), The 'Here We Stand' LP from Cocksparrer (with Bonus DVD and CD),and more. Fans of the Hellacopters will be keen to check out the two new 7"s we have from Midlife Crisis as you'll recognise some members there as they tackle cool 1970's Punk covers over 7 songs, and we also have a very nice (and quite expensive) Japanese Double Picture Disc of the latest Isis offering, so some real cool items there indeed and for Sonic Youth fans we just got back in the Quadruple Deluxe LP Box-Sets of 'Goo' , 'Dirty', and 'Daydream Nation' in case you missed them over time. And last but certainly not least, our longtime pal Sean Bailey (as Lakes) has just dropped us off a great 4 track 7" 'Tray of Fire' which is a trip into Eastern swirled DIY spuzz that we like to take.
